Jokioinen is a small town in Finland located 120 km North West of Helsinki. The Emmaus group there is the only community in Finland where companions live and work. Companions work, but don’t live, at the other four Emmaus organisations in Finland. Five young companions – men and women – live simply and in an environmentally-friendly way at Emmaus Jokioinen. They receive goods from other Emmaus organisations in Finland, which they then sell at their second-hand shop. The group supports refugee camps in Angola as well as the Emmaus organisations in Poland.
