Located in Piedmont, the Emmaus Cuneo community is made up of 30 companions. They do traditional Emmaus community work: collecting, sorting, repairing and reselling goods at low prices in their second-hand shop, which is open on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Emmaus Cuneo also houses young people who come to take part in summer work camps, who do some work for the community during their stay, and people who want to experience life in a community.
The group is very active in terms of collaborations with other local organisations: it works with one organisation which rehabilitates former prisoners and with another that offers treatment to people with addictions. Furthermore, Emmaus Cuneo takes part in many awareness-raising campaigns, related to issues such as peoples' right to self-determination, respect for human rights and international solidarity. Finally, the group provides financial and practical support for Emmaus groups all over the world.
