Emmaus International

The Forum encouraged us all to take some time to think and we realised that we all have the same problems, we just have different names for these problems.

runa nyholm credits emmaus internationalI only recently joined the Emmaus movement so the Forum was an amazing experience for me!

The structures that make up Emmaus International are so different and the people come from such a variety of situations and contexts! But now I can see what brings us all together, what guides us.

As I don’t speak French or Spanish I spoke a lot to the English speakers from Asia during the workshop sessions and I noted that often we analysed things in the same way.

It’s been fascinating! The Forum encouraged us all to take some time to think and we realised that we all have the same problems, we just have different names for these problems.

The workshops were very interesting as I was able to talk to people from southern India and Togo, a country I wouldn't have been able to find on a map before! The Forum was actually like a map of the world!
